Wolfcraft AI, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company and operator of the HelloAfterLight platform ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

Our core commitment: We understand that you are sharing deeply personal information during an incredibly difficult time. We treat your data with the same care and respect we would want for our own families. We never sell your personal information, and we never use your data to train AI models.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: Email address used for authentication via magic link sign-in.
  • Onboarding profile:Information about your situation, including your name, your loved one's name, your relationship, timing of the loss, state of residence, estate details (will status, real property, account complexity), and milestones completed.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details on our servers.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, task completions, and session duration, collected via Vercel Analytics.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and screen size.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize the Service, including generating your action plan, deadlines, and AI-powered guidance.
  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
  • Process payments through our payment processor (Stripe).
  • Send transactional emails (magic link sign-in, payment confirmation).
  • Improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.

We do NOT: Sell your personal information to third parties. Use your personal data to train AI models. Share your information with advertisers. Send marketing emails without your consent.

3. AI Processing

The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to generate personalized guidance. When you use the Service:

  • Your onboarding profile and relevant context are sent to the AI model to generate your personalized action plan.
  • We use Anthropic's API, which does not use customer data for model training (per Anthropic's data usage policy).

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Anthropic (AI). These providers process your data solely to provide their services to us and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: If HelloAfterLight is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS.
  • Database connections use encrypted connections (SSL).
  • Authentication tokens and session identifiers are cryptographically hashed before storage.
  • We use magic link authentication (passwordless), eliminating the risk of password-related breaches.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data and profiles: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information and account.
